5 Things You Didn’t Know About the 2020 Corvette

The new Corvette is here and offers a lot to be talking about. With so many upgrades available to make your driving experience better in South Huntington, Huntington Station, and Elwood, here are 5 things you probably didn’t know that the new Corvette offers. 

Coupe/Convertible Trims

The new Corvette is sold as a coupe or convertible with three trim levels for each: 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT. The base 1LT trims come equipped with 19” front and 20” rear wheels. You can be sure to grab some attention with the design of the new Corvette, which features:

A hidden door, hatch, and hood releases for a cleaner look

A rear-engine that gives a lower cowl and enhanced forward vision

An Engine Appearance Package and LED lights for engine illumination

A rear hatch window offering engine visibility

Engine and Performance

The 2020 Corvette is powered by an LT2 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 490 hp and a torque of 470 lb-ft. Its top speed is 194 mph, and it boasts a 0-to-60-mph acceleration in 2.9 seconds. The addition of the Z51 package can boost this figure up to 495 hp while also adding Magnetic Ride Control 4.0.

Six drive mode options are available for smooth vehicle handling and control: 






Z Mode

Automatic changes to 12 settings can be made easily using the Drive Mode Selector. 

Two Trunk Spaces

The new Corvette has two trunk spaces – one behind the engine and one in front of the passenger compartment area, offering a total storage space of 13 cubic feet. With the roof intact, there’s 42.8” of legroom, 54.4” of shoulder room, and 37.9” of headroom.  

Advanced Technology

The new Corvette has a 12” gauge display in three themes to display driver information. Navigation details are available in a 3-D view with a color Head-Up Display and Performance Data Recorder (1080p recording) that can reproduce your drive in high quality. 

The Valet mode allows you to keep an eye on your Corvette even when someone else is behind the wheel. The new Corvette has safety innovations like a backup camera, cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring too.
